Gone are the days where great looking motorcycle screensavers could only be enjoyed on the larger screen of a laptop or PC. Over the past few years, it’s believed that the way in which people access the internet has changed drastically, with no fewer than 95% of people relying on a tablet or smartphone for at least some of their online habits.
Our handheld devices are now more popular than ever and as a result, the demand to customise our accessories has never been more of a necessity. If you’re keen to proudly display your favourite motorbike on your phone or tablet, take a look at these pieces of advice to help.
Don’t rule out desktop wallpapers
Most mobile users look at a full resolution desktop background and consider them way too large, or ill-proportioned to fit on to their smaller device. Although these backgrounds are aimed at larger screens, there’s really no reason why they couldn’t be fitted to a smaller accessory. Most phones and tablets offer cropping features – and if not they can be found readily online.
Think about the resolution
It’s not uncommon for smartphones to feature vertical screens, as opposed to laptops and personal computers that have widescreen (horizontal) proportions as standard. There are dozens of websites that cater to the mobile market in specific, and you could simply perform a quick search online instead for a ‘mobile motorbike background’ to be presented with a variety of options that can be saved and used as a wallpaper.
How does the colour scheme work with your icons?
Most mobiles and tablets will feature icons on their screens and the colour of a wallpaper can take a huge toll on the visibility of these icons. No matter how brilliant your new motorbike screensaver might look – it will be pretty detrimental if it restricts the visibility of your important buttons and applications. There’s no harm in trying a few different backgrounds out until you find one that’s suitable – and you can always try to crop your favourite wallpaper to see if that helps at all.
