The Right Skip Bin for Your Needs

Which Type of Skip Will be Right for Your Needs

Residents and contractors throughout Australia may find themselves in need of skip bin hire services at some point – and as versatile as these outdoor bins can be when it comes to disposing of unneeded materials, they are just as varied and picking the right one is a priority. From smaller options that can cater to minimalistic requirements, all the way to industrial-sized alternatives that can store thousands of litres of waste; here’s a look at a few different variants to help with your decision.

Smaller bins for minimal requirements

Although still much too heavy to be lifted by a person, smaller skips are a great solution for those renovating gardens, or needing to store lesser materials between disposing. Many hiring agencies are happy to rent their mini skips for a few days or even several weeks – although if the latter is required, it may be a better idea to rent a larger model as smaller ones will soon fill up.

Medium sized skips

For domestic and professional requirements, the healthy middle-ground would be a medium sized bin that can hold a larger than average volume of waste. Medium bins can store up to 75 bags of unwanted materials. They are perfect for quick projects where a lot of waste will be accumulated over the space of a few days, or longer renovation and construction tasks that will need a skip for at least a couple of weeks. Both small and medium skips can be loaded onto a heavy goods vehicle and have their contents disposed of, making them available again with minimal delay.

Industrial bins

When it comes to the construction of a property, or the destruction of a building, there’s no better way to store and dispose of materials than with a large builder’s skip. These huge bins can store the equivalent of hundreds of bin bags. Where garden waste might be present, it’s probably a better idea to hire a smaller bin that can be cleared before green waste begins to rot. For everything else, there’s nothing quite as versatile as one of these larger alternatives – all of which can be rented for a few days, weeks, or even months at a time.
